OLYMPIA, Wash. - The Eagles got a week-day sweep over the Evergreen State Geoducks on Tuesday as they took the match 25-20, 25-18, 25-12.
Both teams traded points back and forth early in the first set. While NU was able to take the lead for majority of the first set, the Geoducks came within striking distance and forced the Eagles to earn their points to close out the first set.
Northwest was able to carry their momentum from the first set into the next two as they got out to quick starts in both sets. Their early leads helped them finish out each set and come away with the sweep.
Chloe Kennedy led the Eagles with nine kills on the night and a .818 hitting percentage.
Morgan Harter had a double-double with 25 assists and 11 digs.
Aubree Dees led the defense with 13 digs while contributing 7 kills.
The Eagles look to clinch their spot in the CCC Postseason with their final game of the season on Saturday against Warner Pacific. Northwest will honor seven seniors at 3:10pm before the start of the match on Saturday.
