Northwest opened the game strong, knocking down its first two three-pointers to take an early 6–4 lead. The Mountaineers responded with a couple of big shots of their own, tying the game at 9–9 with five minutes remaining in the first quarter. The opening period was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading baskets and ending the quarter deadlocked at 17.
The second quarter proved challenging for the Eagles. Northwest managed just two points in the first five minutes, while the Mountaineers poured in 14. NU struggled with turnovers and couldn't find a rhythm offensively, while Eastern Oregon stayed hot, building a 47–23 lead heading into halftime.
Northwest showed resilience in the second half, chipping away at the deficit and pulling within nine points late in the game. However, the comeback attempt fell short as the Eagles dropped the contest, 83–71.
NU was led by Kaleah Medeiros with 16 points and four rebounds. Jersey McGehee added 13 points and two rebounds, while Ellie Bost also finished with 13 points.
