SPOKANE, WA - The Northwest men's and women's track and field team traveled to Whitworth University and set multiple records. 

Josiah Jaquith, Jarron Ransford, Jack Kopatich and Brennan Koontz all ran the men's 3000m collegiate and Josiah continued to impress, finishing in the top 20 with a time of 8:40.29. This race also launched him in the 2025 NAIA Men's Top 100 list in the 3000m. Jarron and Jack also set personal records finishing with times of 9:10.69 and 9:17.27 respectively. Brennan Koontz brought up 48th with a time of 9:38.30. Former Eagle Micah Murphy also competed in this race. 

Elizabeth Behnke and Naomi Limb competed in the women's 60m collegiate preliminaries. Lizzy was able to qualify for the semis with a school best time of 8.03. In the semis, Lizzy set a time for 8.07 but did not qualify for the finals. Naomi set a personal record in the preliminaries as well with a time of 8.15, but it was not enough to qualify for the semis. 

Ryan Slupski and Jaydon Brown both competed in the men's weight throw collegiate and both set personal records. Ryan threw for 11.88m and Jaydon threw for 10.28m.

"It was great having more of our team at the meet," said Head Coach Mark Mandi. "They did a great job of competing and finding ways to support one another throughout the event. We had some of the top NU indoor performances with Lizzy breaking the school record in the 60m and tying her own mark in the 200m, Ryan improving his #2 mark on the school record list in the weight throw, Josiah moving to #3 in the 3k, Naomi improving her 60m time in the #2 spot and moving to #3 in the 200m, Jaydon moving to #3 in the weight throw and #2 in the 60m, and Isaiah setting the #2 mark in the triple jump. A lot of exciting things are happening and it'll be good to move into the outdoor season with this type of momentum."
