McMINVILLE, OR - The Northwest track & field team sent four student-athletes to Linfield University to wrap up the regular season.

Ryan Slupski threw in the hammer throw for the final time as an Eagle with a distance of 32.18 meters.

Karina Foree competed in the women's high jump and she was able to reach 1.36 meters.

Silas LaRose competed in the men's 100m and finished his rookie season with a time of 12.47. Silas also competed in the men's javelin throw with a distance of 32.29 meters. Alongside LaRose was Isaiah Hollinger who finished in the top five with a distance of 45.49 meters.

The next stage will be the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships which will take place in Ashland, Oregon starting May 9th.

"We wrapped up our regular season in Linfield," said Head Coach Mark Mandi. "Ryan competed for NU for the final time before he graduates next week so it was a bittersweet moment. He's such a hard working and passionate person. I'll miss hearing about how much he's learning about Christ and I'm excited for the next season of his life in formal ministry. Silas finished his first track and field season ever and I look forward to seeing him continue to improve over the years. Isaiah and Karina were our other competitors and they were able to work on some aspects of their primary events that should help them at the conference championships next week."
