KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Northwest University men's soccer team struggled against undefeated Oregon Tech with a 4-1 loss on the road.
The Eagles, fresh off a 6-0 win against Linfield, enter their first conference matchup against the Owls, who won three games and drew three games so far in the season. Their last counted game came from a 0-0 draw against Park University Gilbert on Sunday, September 7th.
The Eagles were shut out completely in the first half, with no shots to register while the Owls tallied seven in the half. The Owls would draw first blood in the 30th minute with a goal from Reece Fletcher and an assist from Patrick Chan. Nine minutes later, Kasey Smith barreled one in to extend the lead to two.
The Owls would get their third goal in the second half where Dalton Rideout scored from the spot at the 58th minute. Joao Lucas Fonseca would scrape the Eagles only goal in the game at the 78th minute, but the Owls closed out the match with Sylver Schweiger bagging one in the 87th minute with Anthony Aguiar grabbing the assist.
Ngazikue "Gazi" Kandetu, Pedro Dionisio and Agustin Pernet all received yellow cards for the Eagles while Cash Cota and Merrick Tambio got booked.
The Eagles will travel to Ashland, Oregon to face Southern Oregon on Sunday at 12:30 PM.
