LEWISTON, Idaho — The Northwest University women's basketball team came up short in a 92–57 road loss to Lewis-Clark State on Thursday evening at the P1FCU Activity Center.
Lewis-Clark State used a strong start to build separation early, opening the game with a 28-point first quarter and taking a 51–26 lead into halftime. Northwest settled in offensively as the game progressed but was unable to overcome the early deficit.
Ella Whitaker led the Eagles with 10 points and added four rebounds. Kaleah Medeiros and Jersey McGehee each finished with nine points, while Ellie DeWaard contributed six points and a team-high eight rebounds. Adriana Milanez and Griffyn Eyman provided production off the bench, scoring five and eight points, respectively.
Northwest shot 39.7 percent from the field and collected 33 rebounds, matching Lewis-Clark State on the glass. Lewis-Clark State placed five players in double figures and shot 53.1 percent overall to secure the home victory.
Northwest continues its road swing with another Cascade Conference match up later this weekend.
