KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University men's basketball dropped a 74–66 decision to Southern Oregon on Saturday night at the Kristi Brodin Pavilion. The Eagles battled throughout and made a second-half push but were unable to overcome an early deficit.
Lucius Fox led Northwest with 18 points, shooting an efficient 8-of-10 from the field. Christian Watkins followed with 13 points and a game-high eight assists, while Andrew Iyamah and Logan Stempniak added 12 and 11 points, respectively, to give the Eagles four players in double figures.

Southern Oregon closed the period with a late run, highlighted by a three-pointer with under two minutes remaining, to take a 39-31 lead into halftime.
Southern Oregon secured the win by shooting 39.3% from deep, while Northwest struggled with a 21.1% three-point average. Despite the loss, Northwest maintained a higher overall field goal percentage of 47.3% compared to Southern Oregon's 45.0%.
The Eagles will look to build on their effort as they continue conference play at home next week, aiming to turn strong performances into wins as the season progresses.
