KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Northwest University men's basketball team secured a 93–60 Cascade Collegiate Conference win over Warner Pacific on Thursday night.
Northwest carried a 42–36 advantage into halftime before pulling away in the second half, outscoring the Knights 51–24. The Eagles shot 50 percent after the break and finished the game shooting 45.1 percent from the field.
Head Coach Rick Skeen stated that, "Our guys played with a lot of passion and focus tonight, we really sat down and guarded," he mentioned, "there were lots of contributions from lots of different guys and it was fun to see them pulling together and figuring it out."
Christian Watkins paced Northwest with 18 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, while recording five steals. Trent Williams added 12 points and six rebounds, and Logan Stempniak chipped in 11 points. Andrew Iyamah also finished in double figures with 11 points and six rebounds as Northwest placed five players in double figures. The Eagles won the rebounding battle 50–32 and totaled 17 assists on the night.
Northwest maintained control throughout the second half and built its largest lead late, continuing conference play momentum as the season moves forward.
