Eagles Battle to the Final Buzzer in 69–65 Loss to Warner Pacific

KIRKLAND, Wash. — The Northwest University women's basketball team battled throughout but came up just short in a 69–65 Cascade Collegiate Conference loss to Warner Pacific on Thursday night at NU Pavilion.

Northwest (5–12, 1–8 CCC) held a 33–28 lead at halftime after outscoring the Knights 17–9 in the second quarter. The Eagles continued to build their lead in the third quarter and entered the final period ahead 53–45.

Warner Pacific closed the game with a 24–12 fourth-quarter advantage, tying the contest at 60–60 with just over four minutes remaining. The Knights converted from the free-throw line down the stretch to secure the win.

Ellie Bost led Northwest with 16 points, adding four rebounds and three assists. Kaleah Medeiros finished with 13 points, four steals, and two blocks while playing 37 minutes. Ella Whitaker also scored 13 points and led the team with seven rebounds, while contributing two assists.

Northwest shot 41.7 percent from the field and 30 percent from three-point range, while Warner Pacific held a late edge in rebounding and free-throw attempts. Northwest will return to action next week, using the time to regroup before resuming Cascade Collegiate Conference play.
