KIRKLAND, Wash. — Northwest University dropped a 98-37 decision to Lewis-Clark State on Saturday afternoon in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.
Lewis-Clark State held a 25-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended the margin to 48-16 at halftime. A 36-point third quarter pushed the advantage to 84-23 entering the final period. Both teams scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, resulting in the final score of 98-37.
Ella Whitaker led Northwest with 11 points and added six assists and five rebounds. Kaleah Medeiros and Jersey McGehee each finished with eight points. Medeiros and McGehee both had two three-pointers. Ellie DeWaard contributed seven rebounds, and Faith Dumlao added three points off the bench
As a team, Northwest shot 26.3 percent from the field and 21.4 percent from three-point range. Lewis-Clark State shot 51.4 percent from the field and finished with a 49-30 rebounding advantage .
The game marked Senior Night for #12 Jersey McGehee, #3 Charlize Katz, and #22 Ellie DeWaard, who were recognized prior to tipoff.
Northwest will close out the regular season next week.
