The Eagles battled back after dropping the first two sets, taking the third set 25-14 and the fourth 26-24 to force a deciding fifth set.
Northwest was led offensively by Haylee Koetje with 11 kills, while Chloe Kennedy and Trinity Godina each added 10 and Jaelyn Moeva recorded nine. Teagan Schroeder finished with eight kills while hitting .353 for the match.

Walla Walla finished the match with 60 kills compared to 48 for the Eagles. Northwest hit .141 as a team, including a .250 attack percentage in the third set.
Northwest Head Coach Steven Bain said the team continued to show effort throughout the match.
"Disappointed with the outcome but not with the effort. Walla Walla obviously has some offensive weapons and they took control of the 5th set when their serve and pass was better than ours. That said, our ladies continue to make changes in a positive direction and we are excited for the next opportunity to compete."
Northwest will return to action Saturday, Sept. 19, against Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. First serve is set for 4 p.m. PT.
