Ben Tucakovic's shot fell just short of its mark with one second remaining as Thompson Rivers edged the Eagles, 74-72, in non-conference play tonight. The TRU win overshadowed a 25 point, 11 rebound performance by Tucakovic.Thompson Rivers (6-1) had four players score in double figures including 6-9, All-Canadian and member of the Canadian National Team, Josh Wolfram, who scored 17 points on 7 for 15 shooting.

A tight contest the entire way, TRU took a narrow, 35-33 lead at halftime aided by 48 percent shooting including 46 percent from the 3-point line.
Thompson Rivers held a 72-69 lead with 20 seconds remaining in the game, but would foul NU's
Dak Shagren on a 3-point attempt with 8 seconds left. Shagren would make all three freethrows.
Following a TRU timeout, it would be Reese Pribilsky getting fouled with one second left on the clock in a 3-point attempt. Pribilsky would make two of three which would prove to be the game winners as Tucakovic's shot would hit the rim right before time would expire.
In addition to Tucakovic's double-double, Northwest U (1-2) got 13 points from
Dak Shagren and 12 from
Tomas Ogbaslassie. NU shot 40 percent as a team and 83 percent of their freethrows. The Eagles also held a 41-31 margin on rebounding.
Thompson Rivers' Reese Pribilsky and Volodmyr Iegorov each scored 16 for the Wolf Pack and Albert Medrano added 12. Pribilsky completed a double-double with a game high 10 assists. TRU shot 4 percent for the game.
