Each half would see George Fox, with their pressure defense, up tempo offensive style make runs at the Eagles. NU would break out to a 15-9 lead early in the first half, but a 7-0 Bruin run would see them leading 16-15 with 11:52 on the clock. Northwest would recover with a 20-3run of their own which would give the Eagles an 18 point, 36-18 lead at the 6:29 mark. "It was good to see Michael (Dupree) out on the court tonight playing his first game," commented John Van Dyke, Eagle head coach. "He's a difference maker for us and makes the players around him better. It was also good to have Tomas (Ogbaslassie) back on the court after missing a couple of games with an injury. We played with poise when George Fox made their runs, as we knew they would, and answered with a few runs our own. We're slowly showing the maturity needed when we begin league play next week against Evergreen."
