ROCKLIN, Calif. –
Riley Sine, NU's sophomore from Spokane, won the men's 8k race at the William Jessup Warrior Invite at Spring View Park this morning. Riley defeated a field 114 runners representing four NAIA Top 25 teams: #1 Southern Oregon, #5 College of Idaho, #10 The Master's, #22 Westmont, and #23 Oregon Tech.
Sine ran the course in 24:29, finishing six seconds in front of Michael Oldach of Westmont and 21 seconds ahead of third place finisher, Kevin Poteracke of #1 Southern Oregon. Other men competing in the event were:

Craig Lambert, 58
th, 27:12.3;
Gino Bruce, 27:27.2; and
Brian Guisinger, 28:36.8. The men placed 6
th in a field of 11 teams.
For the Eagle women,
Sarah Estabrook and
Lily Engelbrekt finished in the top 10 in the 5k race with Estabrook coming in 9
th at 17:59.6 and Engelbrekt right behind her in at 18:07.8.
Cassidy Brown was 24
th at 18:52.5 and
Amberly Melendez crossed the finish line in 19:33.1. Also, competing for NU in the field of 77 runners were:
Mia Valerio, 43
rd, 19:53.0; and, Quinn Dhaenens, 21:30.8. The women's team took 5
th in another field of Top 25 teams: #4 College of Idaho, #5 Southern Oregon, #8 The Master's, and #11 Oregon Tech.
