Men's Cross Country

Eagle Women 25th; Men 33rd at NAIA National Meet

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Northwest University men and women's cross country teams completed their season with a 33rd place finish for the men and a 25th place finish for the women, both competing in a 36 team field.
 
British Columbia won the team title in the men's division, their first, with Southern Oregon the highest finisher from the Cascade Conference taking fourth in the team standings. Eastern Oregon's men placed seventh. In the women's 5k, British Columbia also took the national title for the 5th time in six years with the College of Idaho the highest CCC finisher in sixth.
 
Riley Sine was 44th overall to lead the men's team. Sine covered the 8k course at Fort Vancouver in 25:53. Gino Bruce was 195th with a time of 27:45 and Kyle Cole was in 204th with his time of 28:00. The remainder of the men's team were: Rafael Lara, 28:23; Brian Guisinger, 29:01; Craig Lambert, 29:23; and David Walling, 30:39.
 
Lily Engelbrekt was the women's team top finisher coming in 56th with a 5k time of 18:43. Sarah Estabrook was 59th and in at 18:45. Cassidy Brown took 65th with a time of 18:53. Amberly Melendez in 193rd at 20:29; Mia Valerio 199th, 20:35; and Quinn Dhaenens in at 21:30.
