Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Northwest University Eagles wrapped up their 2017 home season with a convincing 110-79 victory over Walla Walla University tonight. The evening was also Senior Night as the team recognized four graduating seniors:
Michael Dupree,
Dak Shagren,
Ben Tucakovic and
Paul Loranger.

Two straight 3-pointers, one by
Ben Tucakovic and one by
Michael Dupree would put NU up 17-9 at the 15:29 mark. The Eagle would slowly increase their lead and
Tre' Benton's driving lay-up with 7:38 to go in the half would give NU a 38-21 lead.
Kaelan Hicks would drive baseline for a score which would give the Eagles their largest lead of the half, 55-28 with 3:24 on the clock. A 7-2 run by WWU would close the gap as Dylan Browning's tip-in would make it 59-39 at the half.

Northwest U would maintain their lead in the second half and slowly put more distance between the two teams.
Dak Shagren's 3-pointer with 5:21 left in the game would make it a 97-68 game as the Eagles would continue to pull away the rest of the way to post their 18th win of the season.

Three seniors led Northwest U (18-8, 10-8 CCC) led by
Dak Shagren's 26 points.
Ben Tucakovic registered a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds with
Michael Dupree scoring 22 points. The Eagles shot 55 per cent for the game, 50 per cent from beyond the 3-point line.

Walla Walla (3-22, 2-15 CCC) was led by Chad Torkelsen's 25 points on 9 for 16 shooting. Dylan Browning added 14 points and Alec Calloway 11 for the Wolves. WWU 31 for 65 of their shots for 48 per cent, but managed just 29 per cent from the 3-point line (8-28).

"I really liked our effort coming out of the blocks tonight," said
John Van Dyke, Eagle head coach. "Our seniors led the way which shows their maturity and the rest of the team followed suit. We need to continue this type of team effort as we go on the road next week for our final two league games."
