Eagles on the Road for CCC Quarterfinals

LA GRANDE, Ore. - It looks as though the Eagle men's basketball team will be headed to Caldwell, Idaho to play the College of Idaho in the first round of the Cascade Conference post season tournament. C of I won the coin toss today to decide the No. 3 and No. 4 seed while Eastern Oregon took the No. 2 spot by virtue of the tie breaker guidelines. The lady Eagles will travel to Klamath Falls to take on the Oregon Tech Owls on Tuesday.

The NU men and C of I split their season series with NU defeating the Yotes in Kirkland on Dec. 31, 70-68, in a close contest and the Yotes avenging the loss in Caldwell on Jan. 27, 100-89 in overtime, making a miraculous comeback in the final 90 seconds of regulation to tie the game to send it into overtime.

Quarter Finals – Wednesday, Feb. 22, All games at 7 p.m.

#7 Warner Pacific @ #2 Eastern Oregon
#6 Northwest U @ #3 College of Idaho (6 p.m. PT)
#5 Southern Oregon @ #4 Oregon Tech

For the women, NU will make the long trip to Klamath Falls to play Oregon Tech on Tuesday. The Owls won both regular season meetings of the teams, but the Eagles are on a five game win streak as they enter the quarterfinals.
