Said NU coach, Montessa Califano, "We are finding our way, we have depth in the circle this year and depth in other positions that brings a level of competition we did not have last year. The new additions to our team have challenged the veterans to be better, while adding their own assets. Today we split, the first game we could not string together hits to produce runs and the second game, we made adjustments at the plate that put pressure on the defense which  produced runs, we played great defense, Granger came into the game and held the lead, after senior Anderegg had a two run homerun to put us ahead. We are on the right track."
