Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Big innings and comebacks were the story today as the University of Great Falls swept the NU Eagles by an identical 7-4 scores in both games. UGF erased NU leads in both games with big 4th innings after the Eagles took the early lead.

Game 1 – Great Falls 7, Northwest U 4
The Argos erased a 4-0 NU lead scoring five runs in the 4th and two the 5th innings for a come from behind 7-4 CCC victory in game one of today's doubleheader.

Darian Godfrey got the Eagles off to a great start in the 3rd inning when she hit a two run home run to left field driving in Courtney Heard who had singled to left. NU scored again when Allie Anderegg singled scoring Yeawa Asabi after a throwing error by the Argos. Asabi had singled to right field to get on base.

Maggie Harshaw put NU up 4-0 in the top of the 4th inning when she hit a solo home run over the left field fence.

Great Falls began their come back in the bottom of the 4th inning right away as Kylie Gonzalez led off the inning with a home run off NU pitcher Rachel Hawley. They came up with four more runs in the inning on 6 hits and left 2 runners on base with one of the big hits coming from Gabrielle Canibeyaz's two run double.

The Argonauts scored two more runs in the bottom of the 5th inning when Jocelyn Kaufman hit a two run home run scoring teammate Jackie Thomas in front of her.

The Eagles would be unable to generate any runs in the 6th and 7th innings, leaving one runner on base in the 6th and being retired in order in the top of the 7th inning by UGF pitcher Mikayla Diegan.

Darian Godfrey was 1 for 3, scored a run and drove in two RBIs with her home run for Northwest U (6-14, 2-8 CCC). Maggie Harshaw was 1 for 2 with one RBI and scored once. Allie Anderegg went 2 for 4 from the plate for the Eagles. Rachel Hawley took the loss in the circle.

Great Falls (9-10, 2-8 CCC) was led by Jocelyn Kaufman who was 2 for 3, scored twice and drove in 3 RBIs. Morgan Robinson was 2 for 4 with one RBI and teammate Mikaylee Jaussi was 2 for 2.

Game 2 - Argos 7, Eagles 4
The second game of the doubleheader was almost a repeat of the first as Great Falls would come back in the fourth inning to defeat the eagles, 7-4. A six run 4th inning would wipe out an Eagle 4-1 lead as the Argos would post the CCC victory.

UGF took an early 1-0 lead in the 1st inning when Hali Gruntowicz singled in Morgan Robinson with two out.

NU came right back in the top of the 2nd inning to tie the game as Allie Anderegg and Alicia Loiler led off with singles to start the inning. After Anderegg and Loiler advanced to second and third on a wild pitch, Maggie Harshaw hit a sacrifice fly to center field scoring Anderegg from third base tying the score at 1-1.

Dani Bonsky came up with a big two out single to drive in Yeawa Asabi who had walked earlier to get on base putting NU up 2-1. The Eagles increased their lead to 4-1 in the 4th inning after Maggie Harshaw hit a one out double to right and pinch hitter, Savannah Rush doubled in Harshaw with two on. Mikayla Wells then scored on a sacrifice fly by Courtney Heard.

The bottom of the 4th would be the big inning for Great Falls as they would bring 6 runs across home plate on 6 hits. Morgan Robinson came through with a bases loaded single and the big hit would be Kylie Gonzalez's two run double to left field as the Argos would move ahead of the Eagles 7-4.

The UGF pitching and defense would then clamp down and not allow a base runner or hit the next three innings to post the two game sweep.

Northwest U (6-15, 2-9 CCC) was led by Maggie Harshaw who went 1 for 2 with one RBI and scored once. Courtney Heard was 1 for 2 with one RBI and Savannah Rush was 1 for 1 with one RBI as a pinch hitter. Hannah Yelas went 4 innings in the circle for the Eagles and would take the loss.

The same two teams will go at it again on Saturday morning in a doubleheader with the first game beginning at 10 am Pacific.
