PORTLAND, Ore. - Northwest U's sophomore Yeawa Asabi and freshman Sammi Caron were named to the Cavalier Classic All-tournament Team that was played over the weekend at Porter Park on the campus of Concordia University.

Although weather and a unplanned one hour delay on Saturday led to the cancellation of the Eagles' fourth game of the tournament, Asabi and Caron made their mark on the teams they played. Asabi, Eagle sophomore from Oakland, Calif., hit .500, going 4 for 8 for three games, hit one home run and had 7 RBI. Yeawa had a 1.125 slugging percentage. Caron, the Eagles newcomer from Tualatin, Ore., was 5 for 9 at the plate, batting .556 with a.778 slugging percentage along with 2 stolen bases.

NU played three games against NCAA Division II teams, Concordia and Western Oregon, who play in the Great Northwest Conference.
