KIRKLAND – Northwest faces another pair of stern tests this weekend in men's soccer, with noon games Friday and Saturday against Corban and Northwest Christian.
The Eagles are 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and meet CCC frontrunner Corban on Friday.
Corban swept the season series last year and has won the last six games against Northwest. The Eagles lost 2-1 to Corban here last season. Northwest Christian ended NU's seven-game winning streak in the series in the last meeting, though Northwest won its home game, 2-1.

th with .89 goals per game. Travis' 20 points and eight goals lead the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Alexander Thiehofe is second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and 27
th nationally with a 0.92 goals-against average. He also is second in the league with 4.29 saves per game. Thiehofe brings a 240-minute scoreless streak into the weekend.
Freshman Elliott Misic missed some time with injury but has averaged 2.57 shots on goal per game since his return. He leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference and is 19
th nationally in that category.
The Eagles have scored in every game this season and, dating back to last season, carry a 10-game scoring streak going into the weekend. It is the longest such streak since NU scored in 12 consecutive contests to close out the 2015 regular season.
Corban sits alone atop the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings at 4-0, and the Warriors are unbeaten at 6-0-1 this season. Keeper Nic Farr leads the league with his 0.42 goals-against average, and the team has allowed just two goals this season. Kohl Hurtado and Hakeem Smith lead the Warriors with three goals each, while Camilo Avendado has three assists.
Northwest Christian is 2-2 in the league and 5-4 overall this season. The Beacons have five goals this year, led by Nicolas Schapochnik with two.
