BILLINGS, Mont. – Ryan Ricks scored 21 points on seven three-pointers, but Northwest came up on the short end of an 83-79 exhibition setback at Montana State-Billings Thursday.

Ricks needed just 11 attempts to get his 21 points.

Tanner Davis and Cesar Sandoval added 16 points each, and Hussayn Ford added 14. Ford led the team with eight rebounds, but his double-double streak (eight games) was unaffected, because exhibition games do not count.

Christian Hakilimali led the team with five assists to go with his eight points. Davis had four steals.

The Eagles resume regular season action Friday in Great Falls with a 3 p.m. (Pacific) contest against Montana State-Northern.
