KIRKLAND – Northwest opens the "home" portion of the schedule this weekend, taking on No. 24 Corban at two Bellevue high schools. The Eagles and Warriors meet Saturday in a noon doubleheader at Newport High School and Sunday in a 1 p.m. twin bill at Interlake High School.

Corban has taken nine consecutive games from Northwest, including the four games from last season. NU lost three one-run and one two-run games in the series last year in Salem.Â

Carly Tighe had three singles and a home run against the Warriors last season.
Rachel Hawley carried a 1.75 earned run average for the series.

Nicola Fish is fifth in the NAIA with 110 fielding chances and 104 putouts this season.
Sam Parisio is sixth nationally with 36 assists, and

th with 33.

Hawley has logged 51.2 innings this season and is ninth nationally with that figure. She's also 37
th with three wins and leads the team with 39 strikeouts. She leads the team with a 2.30 earned run average.

Jessica Nunes on Saturday smacked her third triple of the season to tie the school single-season record. She's third in triples in the NAIA, and the Eagles, with five triples, are eighth in the NAIA.
Palena Gomes has two triples and is 12
th nationally.

Northwest is hitting .263 this season with a team on-base percentage of .334 while slugging .387. Nunes leads the team with a .367 average, with
Jordan Dippel (.353),
Sam Parisio (.333), and Gomes (.323) all coming in above .300 in batting. Nunes also leads the team in slugging at .633 and on-base percentage at .424.

Corban is 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after taking three of four against Oregon Tech last weekend.Â

The Warriors are seventh nationally with 10 home runs in 10 games. Makiah Johnson leads the team with a .451 batting average, and Sam Woodley has 10 RBI in nine games.Â

Kaylee Brown leads Corban with a 2.25 earned run average, while Ally Crakes (1-0, 2.90 ERA) and Sarah Probasco (1-3, 5.83) have been the regular two starting pitchers.
