KIRKLAND – Isabella Clark transfers to Northwest University this fall to join the Eagles softball team.
Clark, a 5-3 catcher from Loomis, California, spent her freshman season at Spoon River College, where she hit .278 with four home runs. Her sophomore season at Edmonds Community College was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic eight games into the season. She was batting .333 with one home run and five RBIs.
Clark played at Del Oro High School and was second-team All-League. She also played for Norcal Batbusters.
"We are excited to have Isabella in our program," said NU Head Coach
Pam Fink. "Her experience behind the plate will add depth to our catching staff. She can also play third, which is a huge position to fill with the graduation of
Yeawa Asabi. We are looking forward to her positive energy and athleticism."
The daughter of Joanna Clark, Isabella attends Bayside Church.
Clark selected NU because "the coach was super interested in me, and I also wanted to be closer to God and advance my faith."
