KIRKLAND – Nine Northwest softball players were named to the 2021 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete list, and the team made the Academic Teams roll.
 
The All-America Scholar-Athlete honor requires a 3.50 grade point average or better for the season. Abby Brake, Sammi Caron, Nicola Fish, Palena Gomes, Sydney Maurer, Jessica Nunes, Ashley Oswald, Sam Parisio, and Becca Rennick were named to the list from NU.
 
"These young ladies model the term student-athlete," said NU Head Coach Pam Fink. "They are dedicated to their academics and understand the discipline and determination needed to be successful. I am proud of all of them and happy to see their hard work being rewarded."
 
Northwest had more honorees than any other Cascade Collegiate Conference program.
 
As a team, the Eagles carried a 3.156 grade point average.
