KIRKLAND –After George Fox had to cancel the weekend series with Northwest, the NU men's basketball staff landed a Monday home game at 5 p.m. against Eastern Oregon.

Eastern Oregon holds a 22-18 lead in the all-time series. EOU took two of three last season, winning at home and claiming a 60-56 win in the first round of the Cascade Collegiate College Tournament. NU won the regular-season home contest, 72-68.

Northwest (1-3) comes off a home split with Corban. The Eagles won the first game 75-71 but dropped the second 84-77. In that last game,
Cesar Sandoval had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Cacoa Chatman added 17 points,
Pa'Treon Lee had 15, and
Cole Langstraat chipped in 10. Lee had six assists.

Five Eagles are averaging nine or more points per game, led by
Kelvin Omojola at 12.3 and Chatman at 11.5. Lee (9.5),
Cesar Sandoval (9.3), and
Daniel Sharpe (9.3) are within a hair's breadth of averaging double figures.

Eastern Oregon is 1-1 this season with a win over Multnomah and a loss at the College of Idaho. Five Mountaineers average in double figures in the scoring column, led by Zane Wright at 20.5 points per game. Justin Jeske gets 15.5 points, and 10.5 rebounds per game and Paul Pennington averages 13 points and six assists per contest.
