KIRKLAND – Northwest heads to Oregon this weekend for its final regular-season road trip. The Eagles play Corban in Salem in doubleheaders at 2 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Jessica Nunes leads the Eagles with a .585 slugging percentage. The junior second baseman has three doubles, a triple, and six home runs. NU enters the game with four batters hitting at or above .300. Nunes leads with a .305 average, followed by
Jordan Dippel at .304.
Sammi Caron and
Palena Gomes check in at .300. Nunes leads the team with 19 runs batted in.

Northwest is 3-25 all time against Corban. The Warriors have won the last 13 games in the series, going back to 2017. The Eagles haven't won in Salem since 2015. Corban took all four games last season, including a no-hitter by Ally Crakes in the series finale.

The Eagles go to Oregon with a 7.77 earned run average.
Sydney Maurer leads the team with a 6.79 earned run average, while
Becca Rennick leads with three pitching wins. Rennick has 36 strikeouts.

Northwest is coming off its first Cascade Collegiate Conference series win after taking two of three CCC games from Eastern Oregon. Dippel batted .400, and
Kayla Stanley hit .364 for the series. Rennick was the star in the circle, going 1-0 with a 1.27 earned run average and 10 strikeouts in 11 innings.

Corban is on the cusp of the NAIA rankings as the No. 4 team in the very tough Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Warriors have clinched a playoff spot with a 14-7 CCC record and own a 22-16 overall mark. Corban took three of four last weekend from Bushnell.Â

Kaylee Buhrkuhl leads the Warriors with a .398 batting average. Makiah Johnson leads with 25 RBIs, and Ivey Uppinghouse has five home runs. The Warriors hit .215 as a team and own a 4.86 team earned run average. Crakes (5-5, 3.76 earned run average) and Holly Gonzales (4-4, 4.24 ERA) have been the primary starting pitchers.
