KIRKLAND – Northwest hits the trails for the third time this season on Saturday, running at Seattle Pacific's Chambers Creek College Open at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place.

The women race at 9:30 a.m., followed by the men at 10 a.m.

Ellie Calquhoun and
Micah Murphy earned Cascade Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week honors last week.

Calquhoun, a senior from Lacey, placed fifth in her hometown, covering the six-kilometer course at 23:35. It is her first runner of the Week award and the first of the season for Northwest. It is NU's first Women's Runner of the Week award since Cassidy Brown won in 2014.

Murphy, a sophomore from Lynnwood, placed second in the men's eight-kilometer race. He finished at 25:40. It is his first Runner of the Week award and the first this season for the men's team. It is the first men's CCC Runner of the Week award for NU since
Riley Sine won on Nov. 11, 2019.

Northwest placed third last weekend in the Ken Garland Classic, finishing with a team time of 2:04.29 on the six-kilometer course.

The NU men captured second place last weekend at the Ken Garland Classic, finishing the eight-kilometer course in 2:11.18.
