Eagles Honor Seniors This Weekend

KIRKLAND – Northwest plays its final two home contests this weekend, hosting 12:30 p.m. games against Bushnell on Friday and Corban on Saturday.
 
The Eagles are 8-0-2 on the season and 4-0-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after blanking Carroll, 1-0, on Saturday. Grace Burke had the goal for Northwest, using an assist from Kayla Soderstrom.
 
The women's soccer team will bid farewell to Jenny Conner, Sarah Hansen, Claire Jo Diede, Maya Lewis, Maggie Gunning, and Liv Morris during Senior Day on Saturday.
 
The Eagles are 16-1-1 in the series with Bushnell. The Eagles have won the last 16 contests in the series, including a 3-0 win at Bushnell last season. 
 
Bushnell is 0-10 this season and 0-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after losing at Multnomah on Saturday. Dejah Wallot leads the Beacons with three goals, two assists, and eight points this season. Madison Bender has 52 saves this season.
 
Corban leads the series with NU, 10-6-2. Corban has won the last three games, including a 2-1 victory in Salem last season.
 
Corban rolls into the weekend with a 6-1-3 mark and a 2-0-3 Cascade Collegiate Conference record. The Warriors visit Evergreen State on Friday. Jamine Biava leads the Warriors with four goals and nine points. Fatima Jimenez has a team-leading two assists. Makida Herbert has a 0.61 goals allowed average.
 
The Eagles have nine shutouts in their 10 contests this season and haven't allowed a goal since the 1-1 tie with Jamestown on Sept. 4–a span of six games. The nine shutouts are second in the NAIA this season. 
 
Freshman goalkeeper Hanne Breur leads the NAIA with nine shutouts this season. She leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference and is second nationally with a .974 save percentage and a 0.10 goals-against average. 
 
Through 10 games, Northwest has outscored opponents 23-1. The Eagles have four goals each from Claire Jo Diede and Elizabeth Moretti, three by Maya Lewis, two each from Liv Lagererquist, Grace Burke, and Gracie VanAssche, and one apiece from Sarah Hansen, Anna Lau, Colette Liston, Trinity Mischel, Kayla Soderstrom, and Rachel Russell. Diede and Moretti are tied for third in the Cascade Collegiate Conference in total goals. 
 
Kayla Soderstrom leads the Eagles and the Cascade Collegiate Conference with seven assists this season.
