KIRKLAND – Northwest plays six games this week with postseason implications, starting with a doubleheader at British Columbia Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The weekend holds a four-game series with eighth-ranked Southern Oregon with 11 a.m. doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.

The weekend series with Southern Oregon features the Cascade Collegiate Conference's top two base stealers in Deja Acosta (30) and Madisyn Leffle (28). It also features some of the best catchers. NU's Kayla Stanley is second in the CCC with eight runners caught stealing, and SOU's Riley Donovan is sixth with six runners gunned down.

Northwest racked up 43 hits in four games but came away with only one win in its series at Warner Pacific last weekend.

Sam Parisio and Nicola Fish enter the week on impressive games-played streaks. Parisio, a grad student, and Fish, a senior, have played in every game of their career. Parisio's streak stands at 181 games—the school record. Fish's streak is 133, which is the third longest. Ricki Tacdol played every game of her 148-game career.

Northwest bats .287 as a team, led by Emily Barry at .370. Jordan Dippel checks in at .333, and Madisyn Leffle is hitting .322. NU is sixth in the CCC in batting.

The Eagles are fifth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a 4.98 earned run average. Sydney Maurer leads the team with a 4.38 ERA, Bella King tops the team with five wins and 75 innings, and Becca Rennick has a team-leading 29 strikeouts.

The Thunderbirds haven't played a game since March 13. Their home set with Bushnell was canceled when the Beacons couldn't get enough players across the Canadian border. The original doubleheader with NU on March 15 was rained out. The three forfeit wins puts UBC at 7-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and 8-9 overall. UBC bats .266 as a team, led by Emma Dorval at .412. Nicole Salas leads the team with eight RBIs. The Thunderbirds carry a team earned run average of 5.80, led by Shae Sever at 2.63.

Donovan is batting .439 for the best-hitting team in the league. SOU is second in the CCC with a 2.42 earned run average, led by Cayla Williams at 1.35.
