KIRKLAND – Northwest hosts British Columbia at 4 p.m. on Tuesday to finish off the season series with the Thunderbirds at Bellevue College.

Only the first game on Tuesday counts toward the conference standings. The Eagles are a game out of the playoffs and finish their conference schedule a weekend ahead of the rest of the league. Each team gets a bye weekend in the 11-team league and Northwest's bye week is the final weekend of the season.

Northwest is coming off of a 2-2 split, including a 2-1 record in Cascade Collegiate Conference games against eighth-ranked and defending NAIA Champion Southern Oregon. NU registered a Friday sweep over the Raiders to end a 22-game slide in the series and hand SOU its first CCC series loss since 2019.

Emily Barry is batting .346 and
Madisyn Leffle hits .318. Barry is the team leader with five home runs and 24 runs batted in.

The Eagles are sixth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a 4.68 earned run average.
Sydney Maurer leads the team with a 4.38 ERA,
Bella King tops the team with five wins and 75 innings, and
Becca Rennick has a team-leading 29 strikeouts.

British Columbia has a 14-3 lead in the short series, including two wins in Canada last week. The Eagles were able to take only 10 players across the border and fell 2-0 and 3-1.

The Thunderbirds are coming off of a 5-4 win over top-ranked Oregon Tech and played the Owls close in all three games. UBC is led by Kaitlyn Eng, who bats .438 with Emma Dorval close behind at 3.96. Shae Sever leads the team with a 3.14 earned run average.
