KIRKLAND – The Cascade Collegiate Conference on Monday selected Micah Murphy for its Rize Laboratory Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Murphy led the Eagles to a seventh-place finish in the Bill Roe Classic, covering the eight kilometers in 25:59.
 
"That's a nice honor for Micah," said NU Head Coach Mark Mandi. "He works extremely hard and has big goals both individually and as a team. I love seeing his competitive spirit all the time, whether at practice or competitions, and it's helped our whole team continue to elevate each other to be our best for the Lord."
 
This is the first conference award for the men's cross country team this season. Murphy also won the award last season on Sept. 27.
