KIRKLAND, WA - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the Champions of Character Five-Star Award Winners, Northwest University athletics receiving a perfect score for the second year in a row.
A perfect Champions of Character scorecard categorizes the Eagles as having Gold Status, received as well in 2023.
Athletic Director, Gary McIntosh, says, "This recognition is a great representation of who we are at Northwest Univeresity. Champions of Character recognition exemplifies the athletes and coaching staff we have here at Northwest. I am privileged to work with these athletes and coaches on a daily basis."
Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earn points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
