KIRKLAND, Wash. – After a strong weekend of competition, Northwest University Athletics looks ahead to another busy slate, as the Eagles prepare for track and field meets and beach volleyball conference play this coming weekend. Last weekend, the Northwest beach volleyball team traveled to Redding, California, for a CCC tournament hosted by Simpson University, finishing the weekend with a 2–2 record in conference play.
Northwest track and field also competed last weekend at the PLU Open in Tacoma. The meet was highlighted by a personal-best performance from Josiah Jaquith, as the Eagles battled through competitive fields.
This weekend, a group of Northwest athletes will travel to Corvallis, Oregon, to compete at the PNW Invite. Andres Bustamante, Christian Chi, Preston Hopp, and Josiah Jaquith are scheduled to represent the Eagles at the meet.
The remainder of the Northwest track and field team will stay closer to home, competing at the Brad Moore Invite hosted by Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
Northwest beach volleyball will continue conference competition at a CCC tournament hosted by The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. The Eagles will face Bushnell University at 12:00 p.m. and Corban University at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20. Northwest will play both opponents again on Saturday, March 21, at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Northwest looks to carry momentum from last weekend as the Eagles continue their spring competition across the Pacific Northwest.
