KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University Athletics looks ahead to another busy week of competition as the Eagles continue their spring seasons while also celebrating strong performances from last week's events.

Northwest track and field was represented on the national stage as Rachell Elliott competed at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Gainesville. Elliott earned the opportunity to compete against the top athletes in the country, highlighting another milestone moment for the Eagles' track and field program this season.

The distance group also turned in solid performances at the Ed Boitano Invitational in Tacoma. Levi Nichols, Brennan Koontz, and Emri Butcher represented Northwest in the 10k race, continuing to build momentum early in the outdoor season.

Looking ahead, the Eagles have an exciting slate of events on the schedule.

Northwest women's beach volleyball will travel to Redding California, for a tournament hosted by Simpson University. The Eagles open play on Friday, March 13, taking on College of Idaho at 12:00 p.m. before facing host Simpson University at 4:00 p.m.

Action continues Saturday, March 14, when Northwest meets Southern Oregon University at 10:00 a.m. before closing the weekend with a second matchup against Simpson at 4:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, both the Northwest men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the PLU Open hosted by Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland. The meet provides another opportunity for Eagles athletes to post strong marks as the outdoor season gets underway.

With national competition, distance racing, and a full weekend of beach volleyball and track ahead, the Eagles are set for an exciting week of Northwest athletics.
