Box Score SALEM, Ore. – Northwest U. took a 2-0 set lead, but Corban came from behind to defeat the Eagles, 3-2 (25-18, 25-12, 21-25, 21-25, 11-15) in CCC play tonight. The loss drops NU into a tie for 8th place with Corban in league play with identical 3-12 records.

The Eagles used three straight kills at the end of the set by Arika Zwack and two by Sarah Stoker to take the set 25-18. In the third set, Corban would catch fire and gain the momentum as they would lead 13-8 after an Olivia Shropshire kill. Two kills by the Eagles and an attack error by Corban would close the gap to 16-15, but the Warriors would out score NU 4-2 to lead 20-17. Dakota Adams' kill would make it 23-20 Corban, but the Warriors would score the next two out of three points for the set win.

Set four would be much like set three as Corban would break out to a 14-9 lead. Later in the set, four straight errors by Corban would let the Eagles back in the set at 18-17, but a Corban kill and two NU errors would increase the Warriors' lead to 21-17. Olivia Shropshire continued to have a solid match with two straight kills to increase Corban's lead to 23-19, but NU would battle back late with two Olivia VanDlac kills to make it 24-21 until an NU service error would end the set and tie the match at 2-2 and send it to a fifth and deciding set.

After a 1-1 tie early in the 5th set, Corban would out score the Eagles 10-7 to take an 11-8 lead after two straight Warrior kills. Hannah Hanson and Dakota Adams would get the Eagles right back into the set with two kills making it a one point set, 11-10, but Corban would out score NU 4-1 in the final 5 points to take the come-from-behind five set victory.
