KIRKLAND, Wash. - The 2015 Eagle volleyball team opens their season on the road this weekend taking part in the Eastern Oregon Invitational on the campus of EOU.
NU's opening match will pit them against the College of Southern Idaho, a national junior college, in a non-counting scrimmage at 1 p.m., on Friday, August 21. Since CSI is a 2-year school, the game will not count against the Eagles' season record. At 5 p.m., NU faces Montana Western from the Frontier Conference, an NAIA Division I school and this match will count.
On Saturday, Northwest U is back on the court at 11 a.m. for a morning match-up with Montana State Northern, also from the Frontier Conference. They will conclude play after a short break with their final match of the tourney against North Idaho College, another junior college in a non-counting scrimmage at 1 p.m.
The next weekend, the Eagles hit the road once again, this time to Lewiston, Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College for the Red Lion Invitational, August 28 & 29. NU's first home match will be Tuesday, September 1, the day after classes begin in Kirkland. They'll host Pacific University from Oregon at 7 p.m.
Go Eagles!
