EOU Wins Seventh Straight in Shutout Win Over NU

Box Score LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon remained undefeated with a 3-0 shutout victory over Northwest University this afternoon in Cascade Conference play. EOU improves to 7-0 overall, 2-0 in league play while Northwest falls to 2-6-1, and 1-1 in CCC play. It was only NU's second conference loss in two seasons.

Eastern Oregon scored what proved to be the game winner just 5:05 into the game when Zoe Anderson scored the first of her two goals off an assist from Crystal Schuder. 24 minutes later, Anderson scored her second goal of the day at 29:50. Alexandria Cuaresma had the assist.

The Mountaineers would put the game away in the 61st minute when Crystal Schuder scored taking a pass from teammate Lisa Clausen. The EOU defense would limit Northwest U to one shot in the second half and five for the game.

Lauren Patefield took the loss for NU making five saves after 90 minutes in goal. Jessica Parker earned the shutout with two saves for the game.

"We came out really flat today and just couldn't get our legs underneath us," said NU head coach, Val Seid. "Eastern Oregon is a good team with lots of pace and we could not just get it going today."

NU remains on the road and will play in Olympia next weekend when they take on the Evergreen State College on Saturday.
