KIRKLAND – Northwest gets back on the road this weekend for a pair of games in Portland, taking on Warner Pacific on Friday and Multnomah on Saturday.

Both games start at 7 p.m.

Northwest (9-2 overall and 5-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference) tied the school record win streak of nine games last week and can become the first Eagles women's soccer team to win 10 straight with a win Friday. The 2014 Eagles won nine consecutive games as part of an 11-game unbeaten streak.

Rylee Rassier captured Cascade Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors Monday after scoring six goals and one assist in wins over Corban and Northwest Christian last weekend. She had four goals and an assist in a 5-0 win against NCU.

Among her six goals last week, Rassier knocked home the game winner in both games, giving her five game-winning goals this season. That has her at No. 1 in the conference and fifth in the NAIA. With 11 goals this season, Rassier is No. 21 in the NAIA.

Rassier and Callie Wright are second and third, respectively, in points scored in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Rassier has 23 points (11 goals, 1 assist), and Wright has 22 (8 goals, 6 assists).

Kat Sanchez claimed Cascade Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors last week after shutting out Corban and Northwest Christian with two saves in each game. Those shutouts were Nos. 20 and 21 of her career–-a new NU school record.

Sanchez is 29th in the NAIA with her .74 goals-against average. She has 38 saves on the season.

Head Coach Bryan Chud got wins 47 and 48 last weekend, making him the all-time leader in NU women's soccer coaching wins in just his fourth season.

Northwest beat WPU 6-0 and Multnomah 9-0 last season.

Warner Pacific is 2-5 on the season, but both wins have come in the last two games–-a 1-0 win over Northwest Christian and a 3-1 victory against Multnomah. The Knights have five goals from five different scorers this season. Alyssa Guthrie has 43 saves and a goals-against average of 2.4.

Multnomah has three goals on the season. The Lions snapped out of a four-game scoring slump with one goal in their 3-1 loss at Warner Pacific. MU is 1-6 overall, 0-4 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, and on a five-game losing streak. Goalkeeper Trisha Priest is 12th in the NAIA with 9.43 saves per game.
