KIRKLAND – Northwest puts an end to the regular season this weekend with Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho for 12:30 p.m. games Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Northwest, Carroll, and Rocky Mountain are in a three-way logjam for eighth place in a muddy playoff picture that probably won't be cleared until the last day of the regular season on Saturday. The Eagles can finish with 20 points in the standings with a pair of wins.Â

NU will bid adieu to five seniors on Saturday:
Kyle Han,
Dennis Kozorezov,
Dylan Murphy,
Titus Nickson, and
Tyler Siedenburg.

Northwest comes into the big weekend after a troubling 3-2 loss to Evergreen State, determined by a hotly contested call that led to the tie-breaking goal.
Tyler Hopp and
Gian Herrera had a goal, and
Elliot Misic added an assist in the game last Saturday.Â

Misic leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 14 goals and five game-winning goals and is second with 34 points, 50 shots, and six assists.

Thirteen Eagles have scored goals this season. Misic leads the Eagles with his 14 goals.
Brayden Corwin is second on the team with four, and
Kyle Han, Herrera, Hopp, and
Ian Reynoso have two each.Â

NU is 1-3-2 in the young all-time series with Eastern Oregon. The Mountaineers have won the last two contests and have an unbeaten string of four games dating back to NU's last win in 2016.

Northwest went to La Grande, Oregon, last spring and lost at EOU 2-0. Misic and Corwin had three shots each.
Alexander Thiehofe had three saves. Jorge Medina and Patrick Larsen had goals for the Mountaineers. Max Rose got the shutout in goal with four saves.

Eastern Oregon enters the game Friday on a two-game winning streak with shutouts at home against Carroll and Walla Walla. EOU is 6-8 overall and 6-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Carlos Murillo and Kellen Burke lead the Mountaineers with three goals each. Keepers Noah Garlow and Dalton Mauzay have shared the goal and have a collective 1.37 goals allowed average. Mauzay is the reigning CCC Defensive Player of the Week.

Northwest has a 12-9 edge in the College of Idaho rivalry. The Eagles won last spring in Caldwell, 2-1, and have a two-game winning streak. Saturday will be the first CI trip to Kirkland since 2017.

Northwest came back from down 1-0 for a 2-1 win. Misic had a goal and an assist in the game in Caldwell.

After shutting out both Walla Walla and Carroll last weekend, the Yotes are 8-4-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Caio Pereira, Ben Garrick, and Kristian Quiros lead CI with six goals each. Garrick is the reigning CCC Offensive Player of the Week. Zac Dean has a 1.17 goals allowed average in nine starts.
