Eagles to Finish Season at Home Against OIT

KIRKLAND – Northwest finishes its soccer season with a Monday-Tuesday set at home against Oregon Tech. 
 
Game times are 3:30 p.m. each day. No visiting fans are allowed to attend.
 
Northwest salutes its seniors Tuesday, with Leon Bormann and Brandon Karberg getting a sendoff before the game. 
 
Bormann, a defender from Shoreline, is a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree, NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and a 2019 honorable mention All-Conference pick. He has logged six goals and six assists in his four seasons. 
 
Karberg, a keeper from Columbia Falls, Montana, has one shutout and a 1.67 goals-against average. 
 
Northwest owns a two-game winning streak in the series and has taken seven of the last eight games. The Eagles lead the all-time series, 12-4-2. Northwest recorded a 2-0 win last season in Kirkland, getting goals from Jordan Travis and Elliot Misic. Kyle Han and Gian Herrera had assists. Alexander Thiehofe collected six saves in the shutout.
 
The Eagles come into the game off a 5-2 win at Bushnell. Northwest trailed with 16 minutes to go but punched in four goals in the final 15 minutes to get the win. Titus Nickson had two goals, while Han, Misic, and Benjamin Banks-Forder added one apiece. Dylan Murphy and Bormann had assists.
 
Misic leads Northwest with four goals. Han, Nickson, and Banks-Forder are right behind with three each. Herrera has two this season. 
 
Misic leads the Eagles with four assists on the season. Tyler Hopp is the only other Eagle with multiple assists, checking in with three.
 
Alexander Thiehofe and Karberg have split time in goal, each playing five games. Thiehofe leads the team with 19 saves and a 1.47 goals-against average. Karberg is at 2.44 goals per game.
 
Oregon Tech is 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Owls had their last two games canceled due to a pause at Southern Oregon. OIT has a two-game win streak with 5-0 and 4-0 victories over Bushnell. 
 
John Sarna leads the team with five goals, and Jake Mitchell tops the Owls with five assists. Mitchell Jillson brings a 2.12 goals-against average into the series.
