KIRKLAND – Northwest starts a three-match week at home Tuesday with a 7 p.m. encounter with Evergreen State. The Eagles also host Corban and Bushnell this weekend.

The Eagles are 29-9 all time against Evergreen State, but ESC's last win in the series was in Kirkland in 2018. NU took the first set, but the Geoducks stormed back for the 3-1 win.

Northwest and Evergreen State come into Tuesday's contest with identical 4-2 records in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The winner moves into a tie for third, and the loser drops into a tie for fifth.Â

Abigail Broussard had 12 kills,
Anna Saelens lifted 35 assists, and
Cristina Lorenz grabbed 11 digs.

Saelens has taken on the bulk of the responsibility for setting up the Northwest offense. Saelens has 376 assists in 11 matches for 9.64 assists per set. She ranks No. 27 in the NAIA and is second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.Â

Megan Horne have been a formidable duo at the net, averaging a combined 6.4 kills per set. Broussard leads the team at 3.27, and
Megan Horne checks in at 3.13. Broussard holds a .263 attack percentage, and Horne steps up at .215. Both players are in the Cascade Collegiate Conference top 10 for kills per set.Â

Cristina Lorenz enters Tuesday with 4.38 digs per set, with
Kelsey Cummins checking in at 2.45. Lorenz ranks sixth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.       Â

Evergreen State is 4-3 overall and 4-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after a 3-0 loss at Lewis-Clark State Saturday. The Geoducks have matched the Eagles with like wins in the CCC. Lily Stewart leads ESC with 3.28 kills per set, with Zoe Shaw right behind her at 3.23. Stewart is an efficient .311 in attack percentage and leads the team with nine aces. Sierra Wolfe averages nine assists per game. Sage Burgmeier leads the squad with 4.28 digs per set, and Hannah Rongen tops the team with 19.0 blocks this season.Â
