UP, RMC to Visit Eagles this Weekend

KIRKLAND – After playing on the road for the seventh time this season, Northwest returns home for just its second and third home games this weekend when Providence and Rocky Mountain visit for a pair of 3 p.m. contests on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
 
Northwest is 4-0-1 all time against Providence (Great Falls). The tie came in the first meeting in 2015, and the Eagles own a four-game winning streak in the series. 
 
Northwest beat the Argos 3-0 in their last meeting in 2019. Callie Wright had a goal and two assists, Sarah (Hommas) Hansen and Olivia Morris had assists, and Rylee Rassier scored two goals in the game in Montana.
 
Providence comes into the game on Friday with a 0-4 overall mark, including a 0-1 record in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. UP lost at home Saturday to Rocky Mountain, 5-1. Dani Chang leads the team with two goals, and Kylee Manning has the lone Argos assist this season. Justine Humphrey and Jenna Evertz have divvied up the minutes in goal evenly and have a matching 15 saves. Evertz leads with a 3.50 goals-against average.
 
Rocky Mountain owns a 5-3-1 record in the series with NU. The teams have evenly split the last four games in Kirkland. 
 
Rocky Mountain stands at 4-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after Saturday's 5-1 win at Providence. Halle Labert has eight goals this season and tops Rocky with 17 points. Amber Pearson owns three assists. Morgan Blankenship and Atlanta Kisbaugh have split the net-minding duties this season. Blakenship has four saves and a 1.18 goals-against average, while Kisbaugh checks in with eight saves and a 0.80 GAA.
 
Northwest comes into the weekend with a 1-0 win over Southern Oregon. Wright got the lone goal of the game. Claire Jo Diede had an assist, and Kierstin Patefield registered three saves for the shutout win in goal. 
 
Diede leads the Eagles with seven points this season with a team-high two goals to go with three assists. Wright and Kayla Soderstrom are tied for second with four points, each with a goal and two assists. Maya Lewis has a goal and an assist for three points. 
 
The Eagles beat Rocky Mountain in Kirkland, 2-0, in 2019. Wright had a goal and an assist. Morris and Elizabeth Moretti had assists. Rassier also had a goal in that game.
