KIRKLAND – Northwest heads to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships as the No. 1 seed, taking on eighth-seeded Rocky Mountain at 11 a.m. on Monday. The game is on Field 2 at Willamalane Field in Springfield, Ore.

The Eagles, by virtue of winning the regular season conference title, don't have to win any games at the CCC Tournament. Northwest received an automatic berth to the NAIA Opening Round. The Eagles won't know where they are going for that round until all the qualifying teams have been determined.

The rest of the seeds from 2-7, in order, are Southern Oregon, College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Corban, Carroll, and Oregon Tech. The tournament is re-seeded after the first round, meaning Northwest will play the lowest seed as long as the Eagles keep winning.

Northwest is 4-5-2 in the Rocky Mountain series, including a 1-0 victory in Montana this season.
Elizabeth Moretti scored the only goal of the game in the 79th minute in Billings in September. Trinity Mischel had the assist. The Eagles limited the Bears to two shots, and Hanne Breur got the shutout with two saves.

The Eagles are 14-1-2 on the season and 10-1-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after a 1-0 loss in the regular season finale on Oct. 29 at Eastern Oregon.

Freshman goalkeeper Hanne Breur leads the NAIA and the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 11 shutouts this season. She also leads the CCC and is fifth in the NAIA in both save percentage at .905 and goals-against average at 0.35. Her 11 shutouts have her tied with Kat Sanchez for the NU single-season record. She also is tied with Lauren Hellum with 14 wins and is on track for school records in goals-against average and save percentage.

Through 15 games, Northwest has outscored opponents 43-6. Elizabeth Moretti, Claire Jo Diede, and Gracie VanAssche lead the team with six each. Maya Lewis has five. Claire Jo Diede and Anna Lau have four apiece. Sarah Hansen, Liv Lagerquist, and Kayla Soderstrom have three each. Grace Burke, Colette Liston, and Rachel Russell all have two goals, and Trinity Mischel has one.

Kayla Soderstrom leads the Eagles and the Cascade Collegiate Conference and is 13th in the NAIA with 11 assists this season, which is tied for the school single-season record with Olivia Morris (11 in 2019) and Jaclyn Metz (11 in 2018). Trinity Mischel has five assists, Maya Lewis and Elizabeth Moretti have four each, and Maya Lewis and Rachel Russell have three apiece.
