KIRKLAND – Northwest is home for its final non-conference women's contest, taking on Vanguard on Friday at 3 p.m.
 
Vanguard leads the all-time series, 3-1, but the Eagles got the win the last time the teams met. This will be the first home game of the series for Northwest.
 
The Eagles got their first win of the series in the last meeting, taking down the Lions 1-0 in overtime in the NAIA National Championships opening round at Vanguard. Current NU assistant coach 
Makenna Wheeler got the golden goal in that game. 
Olivia Morris is the only current Eagle to have played in that game.
 
Northwest can equal the best five-game start in school history with a tie or establish a school record with a fourth win in five games. NU comes in at 3-0-1.
 
Through four games, Northwest has outscored opponents 14-1, including a 7-0 win over Soka. Soka and Vanguard played to a 1-1 draw earlier this season.
 
Freshman 
Hanne Breur has allowed one goal through four games, recording three shutouts as the starting goalkeeper this season. She is second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 0.25 goals allowed per game. She also is second in the NAIA with three shutouts.
 
Maya Lewis and 
Gracie VanAssche lead the Eagles with six points each through four games this season.

Elizabeth Moretti, and 
Kayla Soderstrom have five points. In the CCC, Lewis and VanAssche are tied for second in total points with the NU quartet, with five tied for fifth.
 
Five Eagles have two goals each to lead Northwest.

Vanguard enters at 2-1-2 after scoring in the last minute to tie Benedictine-Mesa on Monday. Rachel Penick leads the Lions with five points with a goal and three assists. Madelyn Diaz and Payton Siurek have two goals each. Goalkeeper Jordin Holmquist-Wilder brings a 0.80 goals-allowed average into the contest.
