SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The Northwest University beach volleyball team debuted it's second season on Thursday at Ottawa University Arizona. The Eagles matched up against No.5 ranked Ottawa losing 0-5, followed by a 2-3 loss against Park University Gilbert.

Caitlyn James and Carlee Rowell were the only two to knock a set off Ottawa.

James and Rowell swept their next matchup against Park 21-12, 21-10, as well as Sophia Rice and Masa Spela Jarc, 21-16, 21-19.

Second year Head Coach, Hannah Lord says, "I am proud of how this team bounced back from adversity and continued to work hard despite the break in play due to weather. We had some close matches and we are excited to get back out there tomorrow and continue to learn, grow, and compete."

Competition continues Friday in Mesa, AZ, against Park University at 9am followed by Arizona Christian University at 11am.
