CALDWELL, Id. – The Northwest University beach volleyball team traveled to Caldwell, Idaho over the weekend to compete in a two-day Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament hosted by the College of Idaho. The Eagles faced tough competition, finishing the weekend 0-4.

Northwest opened play on Friday with a narrow 3-2 loss to Bushnell University. The Eagles showed strong fight at the top of the lineup, as the No. 1 pair of Rylie Hangca and Kylie Rankins battled back for a three-set victory (16-21, 25-23, 15-5). The No. 2 duo of Aubree Dees and Ellie Van Berkum also secured a comeback win (10-21, 21-13, 15-6). Despite the strong efforts, Bushnell claimed the remaining three matches to take the team win.

Later that day, Northwest faced nationally ranked No. 2 Corban University, falling 5-0. The Eagles competed hard across all courts, highlighted by a three-set battle at the No. 4 position from Addy Stone and Oriana Muliaga, but were unable to secure a point against the Warriors.

Action continued Saturday with a rematch against Bushnell. Northwest dropped the contest 4-1, but picked up a key win at the No. 3 spot as Ava Hoy and Kali Dransfeldt earned a gritty three-set victory (18-21, 21-10, 16-14).

The weekend concluded with another matchup against No. 2 Corban, where Northwest fell 5-0. The Eagles continued to gain valuable experience against one of the top teams in the nation, competing with energy and resilience throughout the dual.

Northwest returns to action in two weeks to continue Cascade Collegiate Conference play, closing out the regular season with its final conference tournament at home. Additional match details will be available on the Northwest University Athletics website.
