SNOHOMISH, WA - Day two (Friday) of this weekend's Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) tournament, hosted by Northwest University beach volleyball, was a tough outing for the Eagles, who went 0-2 on the day.

The morning set about with an Eagle match up against the No. 2 ranked Warriors of Corban University. Powerful Warrior offenses throughout all five pairs made it difficult for the Eagles to find rhythm, resulting in a 0-5 loss. 

NU took the sand once again this time facing The College of Idaho, who came into the match with just two matches under their belt. Top pair for the Eagles, Caitlyn James and Carlee Rowell took the Yotes first pair to three sets and took the lone set victory of the day, 17-21, 21-15, 15-8. 

Second pair, Masa Spela Jarc and Madelynn Culp competed in a three set thriller, falling by just three points at the end.

Head Coach Hannah Lord says, "Today got off to a slow start in the first game but we bounced back ready to fight for the second game. We hung in every game and are excited for another chance to play The College of Idaho."

The Eagles will face Bushnell University at 4pm on Saturday to wrap up this weekend's home tournament.
