Eagles Wrap Up Alki Beach Weekend

SEATTLE, WA - The Northwest beach volleyball team concluded their homestand with a win over Bushnell and a loss to Corban.

The sun fought its way through the clouds on Saturday as the Eagles strung together a win against the Beacons to start the day. No. 2 pair Masa Spela Jarc and Aubree Dees were able to secure the win after going toe-to-toe with Makenna Mosher and Jadeya Hayes in three sets. No. 1 pair Caitlyn James and Kylie Lunday and No. 5 pair Kali Dransfeldt and Ava Hoy were also able to pick up wins in their matches.

It was also a time to celebrate as one of the original members of the beach volleyball program, Ellie Van Berkum, was honored for Senior Day.

However, the wins stopped there as the Eagles faced the number two team in the nation, the Warriors. Spela Jarc and Dees were able to send their second set into overtime, but could not find the key to keep their match going.

The Eagles will take a break next week and will travel to the College of Idaho on April 4th and April 5th to close the regular season.
