CALDWELL, ID - The Northwest beach volleyball team traveled to the College of Idaho with a losing sweep against the hosts but managed a sweep of their own against Simpson.

After a week off, the Eagles took on the #7 Yotes midday and got swept in order of 2, 4, 1, 5, 3. No. 4 pairs Sophia Rice and Oriana Muliaga made it a contest against Yotes' pairs Faith Faucher and Ellie Baker after tying the match in the second set 21-18. Rice and Muliaga sent the third set into overtime, but could not contain Faucher and Baker and lost 17-15. No. 5 pair Ava Hoy and Kali Dransfeldt challenged Lauren Gauna and Dariya Tlevlessova with a 24-22 second set win, but could not secure the bag in the third set, ultimately falling in the third set 15-5.Â

The Eagles moved forward to a depleted Redhawks roster who had to forfeit the fifth pair match up. The Eagles won in order of 2, 4, 1, 3. Caitlyn James and Kylie Lunday, Masa Spela Jarc and Aubree Dees, and Kylie Rankins and Ellie Van Berkum were all awarded sweeps in their matches. Rice and Muliaga were given a tough contest but pulled out on top, winning their second and third sets 23-21 and 15-13.Â

The Eagles will take on Southern Oregon and Simpson University tomorrow for the final game day of the regular season.
